Think Pink for Team Pink Eye!

I'm blogging with Team Pink Eye this month to raise awareness for breast cancer.  They are also trying to raise money to donate to the Susan G. Komen foundation; please visit their team page if you are interested in making a donation.  It's a very important cause and affects everyone involved - patients and their families and friends.  Here's a link to the some breast cancer statistics in the United States.

Every Friday, participating bloggers are posting pink looks to show that we are "Passionately Pink."  There are also giveaways, sponsored by Team Pink Eye (through donations from a lot of indie companies) to raise money for the cause.  There will be a set of giveaways each week in October, and yes, we have one for you here! (This is sponsored by Team Pink Eye through a donation from Darling Girl Cosmetics.)

Here's your chance to win a pot of pink eye shadow, Twin Peaks (I love the name!) from Darling Girl Cosmetics.  (Even if you don't win,  you still can purchase this color from Darling Girl Cosmetics in the month of October; $0.25 of every sale will be going to charity.)  This giveaway closes at 10 pm CST on Sunday, October 9th, 2011.  Winners will be picked up and notified by Monday, October 10th, 2011.

To enter: A $5 donation to the team (do that here!) will get you an entry to all of the giveaways going on this week.  After you make your donation, leave a comment on this page, with your name and email address.  Be sure to use the same name for both your donation and your comment!  Then, to see the full list of other blog posts and giveaways this week, go to the Team Pink Eye page!  (You can enter as many giveaways as you want in the week with one $5 donation - just don't forget to leave a comment on each host blog for the appropriate giveaway!)

Now, here's my look.  I love EOTDS most of all, so I am going with that, and I also did pink nails this week!  This is a subtler take on pink than I think most people are used to; it's soft and pretty and almost work safe!  (And also very similar to my Sailor Moon Black Lady look, oops :P  But I used a whole different set of cosmetics!)
UDPP Greed
Shiro Cosmetics
Kawaii (pastel pink), Urban Decay Woodstock (fuchsia with silver sparkles), Stila Lil' Diamond (shimmery gray)
Benefit Magic Ink, UD
Crash (eggplant with sparkles)

For the nails, I used Sinful Colors Feeling Great, which is a fun, bold fuchsia cream.
Such a happy, clean pink!  I don't usually go for pinks, but I do have a few, and I like bright ones!

There you have it, pink pink pink!  I'm not trying to guilt anyone in to doing anything, so do what makes you comfortable.  I know everyone has mothers or sisters or daughters or wives or girlfriends, and we have all been touched in some way by an extraordinary woman, so sometimes it's enough to just keep someone in your thoughts for the day.  Have a good weekend, everyone!
